Where Do Silverfish Live?

Due to their preferred breeding location, they can be difficult to detect. The perfect conditions for a silverfish are dark places with a humidity of around 70 to 90 percent. Don’t be fooled by its size, silverfish are extremely fast. They have an alarming horizontal and vertical speed. Hence, trapping and exterminating a silverfish is no easy task.
Signs of a Silverfish Infestation
Traces of silverfish can be confusing because of their unconventional eating habits. If you’ve spotted irregular feeding marks, surface etchings on various household items made of paper, glue or cloth, you could very have a silverfish infestation in your home. The most common example of a silverfish infestation is feeding marks on wallpaper, bookbindings and linens. Another trace of silverfish is irregular yellow stains in books, papers and cardboard.
